Local people feeding local children
Welcome to Food4Children. We are a small local charity, which we set-up to help address a need in our area of Ascot, Sunninghill, Cheapside and Sunningdale. Our main goal is to provide fresh, healthy food on a weekly basis for the benefit of local children whose families are struggling to make ends meet.
To put the charity onto a more sustainable footing and to reach out to additional families in need, we want to raise more regular funding from sympathetic local people and businesses. We would value your help and are asking you to join us to make sure our local children in struggling families are not only well fed, but never go hungry.
Please help us by donating to our charity, either by a one off payment or by regular monthly payments. If you are able to set up regular monthly payment, this will really help our cause.Your donations could make a big difference and help provide weekly healthy food to local children, whose families are struggling to make ends meet.
We are a small local charity, which we set-up to help address a need in our area of Sunninghill, Ascot, Cheapside and Sunningdale. Our main goal
is to provide fresh, healthy food on a weekly basis for the benefit of local children whose families are struggling to make ends meet.
Good nutrition is essential in giving children the very best life chances, positively impacting on their physical and emotional wellbeing and on their ability to learn.
Currently the weekly delivery to each of our families comprises a box of fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, butter, and cheese. The emphasis being on fresh, nutritious food for the children’s benefit
Our success is based on working closely with local state schools who, knowing their children, are able to help us identify and monitor the families in need.
Some lovely comments received recently:
•One child calls the Friday delivery “a box of treasure – it’s like jewels!”
•Another loves the boxes on Friday because “they make my mum happy.”
•More than one parent has said that if it comes from the box, their fussy child will eat it!
•Another child calls the box: “The Magic Box!”
•Two mums said that receiving the fresh vegetables prompted them to make soup with their children.
Over the past year or so we have raised money from our friends and local organisations who have generously given us enough to provide weekly boxes to a number of local families.
Food4Children is a non profit making charity. The contributions we receive are spent on our “fresh food boxes” – we have a lovely band of volunteers who give freely of their time and expertise to help run all areas of our operation!!!
We know there are more families that we can reach out to, and we not only want to continue to support our present ones, as long as they need our help, but also to expand our efforts to embrace others that are finding it difficult.
We would value your help and are asking you to join us to make sure our local children in struggling families are not only well fed, but never go hungry.
Pledging an amount to support us monthly, no matter how small, would be gratefully appreciated. However, we understand that this commitment does not suit everyone, and one-off donations are most gratefully received as well.
Thank you for reading this. Please consider giving now, if you would like to help us support our Local Children by clicking on our donate button on our website.

Food4Children was founded in 2010 by Elaine Finch, who is a local in Sunninghill. The main goal for our charity, is to help local children in need by donating healthy and nutritious food on a weekly basis. Our success is based on working closely with local state schools who, knowing their children, are able to help us identify and monitor the families in need.
We currently help children in Sunninghill, Ascot, Cheapside and Sunningdale. So many more families need our support, but we can only do that with the kind support from volunteers and financial support from people like you!
